2 to3 hrs wait.....
The wait is too long....at least 2 to 3 hrs. Not worth my time. I had enough of this place. Dr. Boyd is always late seeing not only me but everybody else. I go for a yearly exam and every year I had to wait 2-3 hrs to be seen. Enough is enough!!! Never ever again...I'm never going back.
I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE!!!

Dr. Spoon is the best! by Karin A. at InsiderPages
I have been going to Dr. Spoon for the last four years and he delivered my first child. When I got pregnant, I knew that I wanted to have a natural birth with the least amount of interventions and no induction if possible. He was very supportive of my decision to have an unmedicated birth, even giving me tips on how to handle the pain without an epidural. During my pregnancy, he was very laid back but not negligent about paying attention to any possible problems.

Dr. Spoon's office usually runs on time and typical wait time was maybe 15-20 minutes. He was only late once due to an emergency, but that was fine-- if it was me who had the emergency I'd want him to be there for me too! When it came time to deliver my son, he was cracking jokes with me and very supportive.

I have continued to see Dr. Spoon for typical gynecological exams and to check for cysts. He never acts like I am being overcautious and always takes my concerns seriously.

I cannot brag enough about him.

Do not trust this Doctor by Rita C. at InsiderPages
Dear Dr. Susan Boyd,

I made an appointment with your office for a check-up. I arrived at 2:25pm, filled out paperwork and waited well after 4pm to see you.
I understand you are a very busy Doctor and do not mind waiting if your services are worth waiting and paying for. I explained to you that my GP had retired so I made the appointment to speak with you about my concern with my blood work results and that I was not feeling well. You told me that it was hard to monitor transdermal compound of bio identical hormones. You said the reason I was so aggressive and stressed was that I needed to work out. I told you I worked out 4 times a week. You were very condescending by the way you spoke to me. I know you are the doctor but I know my own body and I had been monitoring my blood work and noticed a testosterone level of 487 ng/dl which to me was a red flag. There was no logical explanation for it to be that high. In the past five years of continuous blood work it had never been over 26 ng/dl. You said that it was a separate appointment to balance my hormones. I was only asking you to really listen to me. I really did not care about the Pap smear; I could have made a separate appointment for the Pap. I needed you to listen to me because I was not feeling well and needed your help, that??????s why I was there. It would have only taken a minute of your time to look over the blood work results from LabCorp to notice something was very wrong. The error had nothing to do with you or your practice it was just an error. Well thank goodness somebody did listen to me. My hormone levels were all over the place because there was an error in the filling of my prescription. One of the hormones in the prescription compound called for 0.625 of testosterone but was accidently filled as 6.25.
I had been taking the wrong dosage for over 3 months.
If you were not in such a hurry to brush me o

Do NOT get bio-identical hormones from Dr. Boyd!
I had the great displeasure of seeing Dr. Boyd in December 2005 because I was interested in bio-identical hormone replacement. I was not yet menopausal, but was experiencing peri-menopause symptoms.

After a 2 hour wait to see her, my initial appointment lasted all of 5 minutes. She *immediately* prescribed me everything under the sun, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA. Immediately. She did not wait for results of the blood work she ordered. She did not perform a pelvic exam. She did not want to see a pelvic ultrasound. She gave me the prescriptions that same day and said she could tell from my symptoms that I needed everything. I left her office, got my blood taken and picked up my prescriptions. Her office called about a week later to say the blood work was fine and I should continue as prescribed.

I was on HRT for about 3 weeks and could tell I wasn't feeling right and went to my internist because I simply didn't trust Dr. Boyd. He immediately ceased all hormones and said it was beyond careless to prescribe hormone replacement without establishing a baseline of what my body was doing on its own, which a single day snapshot cannot do. He reviewed the results of the blood work she had ordered and said it clearly showed I had adequate estrogen and he would never had recommended estrogen supplementation (that opinion has also been confirmed by my new OB/GYN). I went off HRT and did a month long saliva hormone profile. The profile showed signed of an ovarian cyst which an ultrasound confirmed. I will never know if that cyst was there before the HRT because she did not order one before giving me all those hormones. I am convinced that at the very least the supplemental estrogen fed the cyst, if it didn't cause it in the first place.

Bottom Line? Dr. Boyd is an irresponsible, ill-informed and, in my opinion, a dangerous physician. I've met other for

dr. susan boyd by kristina k. at InsiderPages
i found dr.boyd when i was having my 4th kid. i got her name from a midwife when every doc i talked to wanted to give me a csection because i had one before even though i had two successful vbacs after. she was the only one out of 100 to take me and let me do a 3rd vbac. she doesnt burden you with extra papers to fill out or extra unnecessary tests. i would totally recommend her to anyone and everyone. she listens to you!!! she is also one of the few that assists women with bioidentical hormones. i would continue to see her even if our insurance didnt have her on the list.. :)
