Personally, I would prefer this studio focus more on technique and less on learning a routine. The owner's daughter is well, abrasive and not very understanding. The costumes were too expensive for the family budget and I felt not enough individual attention was given to each student. Their website is not very informative and the black on red is annoying. Found another studio in the area and am much happier.

My daughter joined Lana's at the age of 3 and has been dancing there for 10 years! When researching studios I was told Lana's was the best in the area and after 10 years I agree it is still the best in the Bay area! My daughter has been on the competition team for 6 years and continues to grow as a skilled dancer, team player, and loves every minute she spends at the studio and competing. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and so many nice kids and parents there. Lana and Leila bring out the best in everyones dancing capabilities as they are very skilled technicians and they do this in a caring and loving environment. The competition teams continue to take many overall awards for their dances which just confirms that the technique and skills learned are top notch. Lana and Leila and Angie also re-enforce the importance of studying and maintaining good grades, helping your family, being respectful and responsible. The dancers learn excellent time management skills! I love the partnership between the families, dancers and teachers at the studio. There are many optinal opportunities available here to do extra dance workshops and travel and all this has helped my daughter become more worldly and grow as a person/dancer. A highlight was our study abroad program to Australia last summer and we look forward to New York this year. Lana's is also well respected in our local community and the dancers perform at many local events showing their support. We are very proud to be associated with this fine studio!

My daughter has been dancing for Lana's for the past 8 years and has been on team for the past 6 years. It has great teachers who are devoted to what they do and treat every child the same. It is a friendly studio and everyone gets along with each other. Not only have my daughter's skills in dance improved, but she has also become a well rounded person. I would recommend this studio to anyone that wants to become a great dancer.

The only regret I have about Lana's Dance is not joining sooner! We have been with 2 other studios over the past 9 years and now enjoy and appreciate the difference of being with a well-run, professional and successful studio. As with any extracurricular activity, there is a time and money commitment. This studio is so well organized that all schedules and payments are set well in advance so you can choose the level of comittment you're comfortable with. Best of all, there is no time and money wasted on your investment! At previous studios we spent equal time and money for less training. Lana and Leila work just as hard as the dancers. Their commitment to proper training, exceptional choreographers (themselves, as well as hiring renowned talent) , and creating a warm and loving environment for the kids is commendable. At Lana's, I know my child is being trained properly. Nothing is more rewarding than watching your child's passion and hard work pay off; Lana's training is evident as the dancers always rank in the top tier at local and national competitions.

I dance at Lana?s on the competition team, and it has been the best experience I have ever had. The instructors there provide students with proper technique and skills, and they also promote ideas and morals essential to our success later on in life. At the studio, we are always discussing topics such as keeping our grades up, making healthy choices, and respecting our parents.

Lana and her daughter Leila are consistently putting effort into making us the best dancers we can be. I really appreciate all the work they do to provide us with a constructive dance experience. I have danced at two studios before Lana?s that couldn?t even come close to matching the high level of organization and fun at Lana?s. I just love being part of the warm community offered there. Lana?s has had such a positive influence on me, and I guarantee you it is the best choice you can make for a studio. :)
