Let me tell you about Mr. Art - He is a jerk! He is a know-it-all and doesn't shut up. He needs to get a different job. He should not work with the public; at least not in sales. He has not once followed up with me regarding the status of my wedding dress. I have had to call each time and I cringe when he answers the phone because he is rude and curt. I am having a destination wedding in ONE MONTH and the damn dress still isn't in. But he assures me it will be in in a week. The last thing a bride to be needs is stress, especially when she has made sure her ducks are in a row. Oh, I guess I should give Mr. Art kudos; he did call to tell me my bridal headpiece was in...how nice of him.

LAMERITE!!!! a GREAT place!! I walked right in with out an appointment, treated like family!!! :) Mr. Art was amazing!!The man knows his stuff!!!! He was very outspoken and asked questions; how you feel in the dress? you like this material compared to that? White or Ivory? He was amazing!! I recommend this store to any Bride who doesn't know exactly what they want yet!!! :) :) :)

This place has always been very nice to me the many times I came in to peek at dress. One of the ladies insisted that I try on a dress that normally I wouldve pass on. Turned out that it was the ONE!!!

The people who work here have always been courteous to me. One of the women that worked there was a little short with me and rude, but everyone else was extremely helpful. They called me when my bridesmaids dresses were in, when my veil came in, and any other time they needed to. My only complaint is that they tell you it takes 6-12 weeks for your dress to come in, and it didnt, my bridesmaids came in quickly, my dress came only 3 weeks before my wedding, after my dad had gone up there and asked and complained about it not being in. Everything was fine after that, it came in, and the lady they work with for alterations is sooooo nice and not pushy, like some people who try to pin and take in anything they can to make a buck. You CANNOT beat their prices, my sister in law got married 6 months before me and spent over 1000 on her dress, I saw the same dress at La Merite for 700. go figure! They're helpful, friendly, and the way you can just pay on your dress interest free until you pay half to order was amazing, for people like me who dont have $400 laying around! My mom got her dress here, I got my dress here, and my sisters got their bridesmaid dresses here! I would recommend them to anyone, but tell them to order their dress early enough that it comes in on time.

HORRIBLE!

I am 2 weeks from my wedding and the dress that was supposed to be in two weeks ago is stll not in and the MEN who own and operate this place have been rude, evasive, and curt to me through the whole process. They cant seem to get their facts straight and they can't tell me when (if AT ALL) the dress will be in. They repetedly tried to force their alteration service on me, though I told them several times that I will be doing it myself, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the dress is in the store...they are just trying to get me right up to the wire...thinking I"ll get frazzled and buckle to their alteration service.

People are rude, they lie about their store hours, are very disrespectful (they hung up on us repetedly) and they have NO sense of customer service, whatsoever.

Avoid this place like the plague!
