What first grabbed me about Lamb’s Players Theater is their company’s mission statement which is to tell good stories well.
The theater is San Diego’s third-largest professional, non-profit performing arts organization now in its 38th year. Lamb’s has a regular season of five productions from February through November with an additional Christmas production in December. And at the same time, it seems very s committed to the development of new work, and over the years the theater has produced 34 world premieres and 31 regional premieres.
Prices for the various performances remain some of San Diego’s most reasonable, with regular ticket prices between $22 and $44. You can also check for discounted tickets that the theater provides to ArtsTix Booth, the local community half-price ticket booth.
Along with the awesome theater setting and seating – it comfortably seats 349 patrons – a visit to the theater’s own “Encore Café” (located off the lobby) should not be missed. Encore Café serves light meals before, during the intermission, and after the performances, and it also serves wines by-the-glass along with the Coronado Island’s absolutely best tasting individual French Pastry-type desserts.
