My son has gone to LAP since he was 2yrs. old. The staff are nice and helpful. They potty trained him and always have encouraging words to say. He has instructional time daily and they have a kids' aeorbic teacher on Fridays. The staff takes them on bus field trips and walking field trips as well

I enjoyed when my grandchildren were at Lake Ave Preschool, they were friendly, orderly, I like the way the taught the kids. The little graduation ceremony they have for the kids were great.

Everyschool is not for eveybody. My child has attended this school for three years now. I toured many schools, but chose LAP because of the warm and intimate environment. I have seen the previous reviews and am saddend that certain people disliked the school. However, I am sure they found an environment which fit what they were looking for. All I can say is that I have had nothing but positive expereinces with the staff at LAP. The teachers and director are great and work extremely hard to create an environment that is educational as well as loving for the students. Not everyone can be pleased. My child wakes me up to go to school in the morning! Come check out the school and form your own educated opinion before you make your choice for a school for your loved ones.

We've been sending our child to LAP for 2 years, since she was 18 mos. and initially chose it because it was the one school we toured that she took to immediately. On the surface it appears modest, but after awhile, you see how hard the teachers work to stimulate the children such as having speakers (dentist, library, etc.), field trips, walks to the park and around the neighborhood, school photos, etc. The two things I like the most are the fact that the kids are mixed much of the time, and I can definately see the positive socialization influence w/in my child, and the cultural diversity which allows her to have experience w/kids outside of her race. While most teaching is done through play, they have about 45 mins in the mornings where they do teaching and our child learned her ABCs, numbers up to 20, shapes, and some colors by age 2---and not just rote memory. They have an awesome playground w/well maintained equipment, they do water play and lots of art projects. They are very responsive to concerns and questions. They serve hot lunches and breakfast. They helped w/potty training and encourage hand-washing. Yes, they come home covered head to toe in dirt, paint, whatever, but I think that shows how much fun they've had. My daughter looks forward to going to LAP every day. We had intended sending our child to Montessori school at 2 1/2 but she's doing so well here we decided to continue for at least another year.

I love Lake Ave Preschool. I was having a hard time finding a school that both my son and I would enjoy. But I knew it was time for him to start preschool. My son is new to the school and already feels right at home.
From the very first phone call when I inquired about L.A.P. I had nothing but outstanding thoughts. The staff are very friendly and very well trained at what they do. Every day my son comes home singing a new song or counting numbers that I didn??????t even know he knew.
