First of all to the review above, that is ridiculous!! I've been going there for the last 3 years, we go almost every week and you cannot REQUEST A WAITER OR WAITRESS unless you sit in their section. I mean, they have high turnover there!! -
2nd of all,though they have the best mexican food, the kids menus are NOT one to brag about. It's the cheap nuggest and fries you can buy from kroger. nothing fancy. I have 4 kids and they are never thrilled about the kids menus' there. the Pizza is those tiny frozen pizzas you can buy from kroger and throw in the microwave. BUT

but the food, yes, is the best, best mexican food around. we are HOOKED. you get lots of food, great tasting and friendly service. We go tothe one in Cordova. The owner is really nice, he recognizes us and sometimes comes over and chats for a few minutes. Very close knit bunch and they really take care ofyou there!

First of all...ask for Julissa (the best server in the universe...bar none) and if she isn't there, request Luis. After that, order the Pico de Gallo dip done in melted white queso &/or guacamole and follow with Tacos al Carbon - either de carne (beef) or pollo (chicken) - though I prefer the beef myself. You cannot possibly go wrong and plenty to take home for lunch tommorow. The salsa is always perfect with lots of fresh cilantro and the thinnest tortilla chips possible! Kids' menu has loads of American goodies for picky eaters (I have one). Sweet tea is delicious and is supplied in abundance. Alcohol drinkies are yummy, too. :) This place beats the "other" one across the street HANDS DOWN (the one that usally gets the 'best reviews', who knows why???)! I should know, we practically live at La Hacienda.

Jose and the staff always make us feel special and give us great service and great food. We go once or twice a week and have been for years.
