La Poblanita used to be right across the street from the grade school I went to. We would go after school and buy a bag full of reposteria (mexican cookies) for a nickel, and this was in the late seventies! Since then the prices have gone up somewhat and the bakery has moved further down Zarzamora, but the cookies there are still the best! You can't get more authentic Westside bakery ambience than this either.
