Fantastic Steaks and Wine list
I recently had a business lunch and my client suggested La Cantina. Definitely a different atmosphere, than most steakhouses I've been to, feel of being in a wine cellar with fish tanks everywhere. I have to say I was very impressed. We were on a tight schedule, and had reservations for 12:00 on a Friday. We were seated almost immediately and greeted by our server right away. We ordered salads and two steaks medium well, and were out the door within an hour. When on a tight schedule prompt food service is very important. Next time I come back I will spend more time, as the wine list is incredible and I 'd like to try some of the wines as well as other food items on the menu.

Great food and steak!!
Last night we went to dinner at La Cantina, the service was outstanding. I have been to several steakhouses in the city and this places among the best. We were seated immediately and our server came to our table within minutes. He was very friendly and knowledgable and suggested an excellent merlot to go with the steaks we ordered. They came out cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths. The gorgonzola cream sauce on the strip steak was fantastic!! The food came out fast and was very reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back here.

I love this place!!
This restaurant is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. It is in the lower level of the Italian Village, but should not be missed. The Veal parmigian is outstanding and I've also had the New York strip steak on several occasions. It always comes out the way I ask and is very tender, almost melts in my mouth. The wine list is amazing!! I can always find a good red or white wine depending what I'm having. They have a much more extensive seafood menu here, than the other two restaurants. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent Steakhouse and Extensive Wine List!!
First let me start by saying how impressed i was with the wine list. They have over 40,000 bottles in their cellar. La Cantina is one of the three restaurants of Italian Village- and it is just as good as the other two. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed. We had reservations for 8 pm and were seated shortly after, which was fine, because we were finishing a bottle of chianti in the bar. We were greeted promptly by our server, who quickly brought us another bottle, even though it was very crowded as it was a Friday night. Our steaks were fantastic, tender and juicy. The service was excellent, and we will definitely be back!!

Fantastic food and service!!
I cannot say enough great things about La Cantina, the steakhouse at the Italian Village. It is fantastic. Every time I go there it always impresses me that they have such an extensive wine list and they are so knowledgable on all of the wines and pairings. My husband ordered the petite filet and shrimp and I had the Cantina Ribeye, both dishes were outstanding and cooked to perfection. Our server was great, he was prompt on top of our drinks and our food came out fast!! I never felt as though he was to busy with tables to take care of us and our needs, I feel that some restaurants give the servers too many tables and then they are too busy to give good service. Im thrilled to say it was the opposite at La Cantina, I felt like we got to know our server a little bit. I would recommend going here if you have not, it ranks among my list for best steakhouses in the city.
