We had dinner at LAmore today, and I was somewhat disappointed. Not sure we will be back, even though we live only 3 min drive from there. On the positive side, the room is indeed very pleasant. The bread was good. But then the appetizers arrived and our expectations went down. They put MAYO on beef carpaccio! I made a remark to the waiter that next time I order it I will make sure to remind that they pass on the mayo. I expected the waiter would right away offer to bring a new one without mayo, but he did not.... The dishes were ok, but way too pricey for the quality. My husband had veal with pasta and veggies. Nothing special, but not bad. I had tortellini LAmore. Way too big portion, and way too creamy! So the beef carpaccio which I could not eat + the veal + the pasta dish (ok, but not outstanding) cost us $70. I'd rather go to Vincent's Bistro and get more better quality food with deserts and appetizers for $50.‎

I've been searching for a great Italian restaurant here in Phoenix. It was refreshing to see the attention to detail by the manager and the staff. Not only was the service a 10, but also the food was outstanding. What was supposed to be cold and chilled was, and the entrees were hot. Great sauces and the freshest of ingredients were apparent. I will definitely be back after trying out this "hidden gem."‎

This is a great small little Italian restaurant. The place is small but has a lot of ambiance. The service is not slow but they give you time between courses so you don't feel rushed. This is not a fast food kind of place so don't go here if you are in an hurry. After you go here a couple of times they welcome you back like you are old friends. The prices are mid-high but the food is great and the service is worth it. I love their salads!
