Krispy Kreme can be considered to some the “healthier choice” of doughnuts as they travel through a conveyor belt and get flipped halfway after the first side gets cooked. And you get to watch this at the shop! The originators of the “Original Glazed,” these doughnuts don’t make you feel like you’ll suffer from heartburn, and are sized to a moderate serving. They have an array to choose from, and sometimes they come out with special flavors or decorations during certain holidays or seasons, like this summer’s “Lovin’ Lemon.” My favorites would include the Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, New York Cheesecake, Chocolate Iced Custard Filled and of course the simple Original Glazed! Also, the people who work at the Clairemont location are super friendly!

Who doesn't love a warm KK donut in the morning with their coffee? This place is great and makes for a nice stop for breakfast on the run.
