There is a reason I am giving this place a 5 star rating. It is one of the best sushi restaurants I have visited in my life. If you want a great ambiance, great service, delicious sushi, and good Japanese food - definitely try Kiraku!

During my first time entering at this restaurant we instantly noticed the homey atmosphere. Having to go to the city to buy our sushi we were truly excited to see a place in the Bronx opening up. Food a Kiraku is better than many other places - but the staff is what makes the restaurant great. The owner is regularly waiting tables and the staff is very welcoming and helpful.

Their specialty rolls are delicious. Their Dragon Rolls are fantastic and their fish is so fresh! But not to forget their cooked food - they have amazing appetizers and entrees. Overall the place is wonderful.

In addition - Kiraku has recently added a 2 Hibachi Stations which have added both the finesse of an upscale Japanese restaurant and also a festive environment. I've already gone to the stations twice and enjoyed both times equally. Although this is a recent addition, the place still has a homey quality that will stay forever.

If you want to eat well - eat at Kiraku.

The quality of the fish was good, but the hot dishes were just OK. I would probably stick to the sushi next time. The picture of the place on Google Maps is a little dated as they no longer have that giant Japanese character over the entrance. They now serve Saporo.‎

This is a cute little restaurant has great sushi and sashimi plates, but our favorites were the specialty rolls. It was kind of a bummer that it's a BYOB and there's no place close to go to get wine, but I'd still go back.
