Response to Paul J by Amy K. at InsiderPages
To all who have been reading this ad, as well as to Paul J,I wanted to respond to the previous posting by Paul J in regards to Kingsland Blvd Animal Clinic. I am an employee of the hospital. I wanted to first off say that I am sorry for any miscommunication to you Paul. We pride ourselves on treating our patients and their parents with the utmost dignity and respect. I think what happened here was a break down in communication as best as I understood it. We are very diligent about getting as many people seen as we need to, and we do get busy most days. We take our time with our clients, which is why we wanted you to come in that Monday, when we could mark sufficient time off for you and Dr.Shows. Something was misunderstood in this midst of all the communication, and so that made you unhappy. I am sorry for this. We have fantastic doctors and a fantastic staff. I hope that you have gotten all your medical needs tended to, and I sincerely hope that your animal is doing well, surgery or not. I just want people to know that our doctors are very knowledgeable, and therefore we like to make appointments ahead of time to maximize the time we have with each animal and their parent. Thank you.

Bad experience by Paul J. at InsiderPages
Dr. Shows called me on a Th evening and I felt comfortable with him and his opinion on the condition of my dog. He said he would have someone contact me and make an appt. to see him for a consultation before scheduling surgery. The call came and I set up an appt for the following Monday at 5:30. My wife was not happy and wanted me to get her little pet in sooner so I called and ask them if they could squeeze me in on Friday before my scheduled appt. The front ofc said well he has two dogs at 2 so if you could be here at 2:30 we can get you in. I left work 4 hours early and drove 20 miles to pick up the dog in hopes of surprising my wife and earning a brownie point. I got to the clinic and waited for about 45 minutes and the receptionist told me I was next in line. Then 20 minutes later she came out and said she was sorry but the Dr. could not see me. I told her of my call earlier in the day and that I drove all that way and left early from work and she still said I'm sorry. She asked me to leave the XRays I had brought of my dog's leg and I told her I believe this is what is to come and I'll find another vet. All I needed was 10 minutes for the Dr. to see the xray and schedule the surgery. Is he that busy? If he is, then I'm in the wrong business. Bottom line, front office should have never made the appt.

The best vet clinic in Katy by paula r. at InsiderPages
I have been taking my animal here for the past 4 years. They actually saved one of my Boxer's life by operating on her leg when 2 other clinics said it wouldn't be cost effective to treat her and we should put her down. They always fit you in. Will let you drop off animal if it is going to be a long wait. Will call and check on your animals when you take them home. The prices are competitive, but the service is worth whatever it costs. I would not take my pets anywhere else.

Good Experience
When I lived in Katy, I had a good experience with this veternary practice.

When my Pomeranian had a broken leg, we brought her here to chance her cast every so often. (Sometimes her cast would fall off, though.) Sometimes her cast change was free and her bandages were in different colors for each change.

One time I brought my Pomeranian for a patellar luxation. She had difficulty walking and they recommended surgery.

We didn't do the surgery because it was expensive and we could not afford it. The vet said that if we didn't do the surgery, she would have arthritis when she grew up.

However, the vet was good in explaining patellar luxation and alleviating our fears. The vet did something with her leg (like popped a bone or something) and Angel could walk again. I was very thankful.

Wonderful place for animals by Nan G. at InsiderPages
Have taken all of three of the dogs I have owned over the last 15 years to this clinic. Never had a negative experience and they have always been willing to talk to me about my pets health at great length. The technicians and doctors all obviously love animals and take great care with wanting them to be at ease. The are knowledgeable and have wonderful surgeons. I trust them to do what is best for my animals.
