The tour was so promising but none of it was true. The food is terrible that they feed the children. Crackers twice a day is not a healthy snack. Neither is Fruit Loops for breakfast. The teachers and management do what is easiest for them not what is best for the children. Don’t complain because it will be your fault. They don’t take any responsibility for what they do. The children are threaten and punished into doing what the teachers want. Also, if you are not a Christian, you will be made to feel inferior.

When I took the tour, I was told all these things they do that are above CPS requirements. This is what set them apart for other centers. I don'™t see it. They don'™t call when my child is injured. They hand me a piece of paper to sign when I pick her up and that is my notification. They said they would use redirection instead I see hear lots of yelling, they bend at the waist with their hand on their hip and the other hand shaking a finger in the child's face. I also see a lot of children punished; they are not allow to go outside with the other children and they are sitting at table in what I would call time out. Instead of using redirection, they use humiliation. Yes, they provide food but it is not healthy; a handful of Cheese-its is not a healthy snack. I was told there is a schedule and lots of activities. I don't see them keeping to the schedule and the children are usually running around wild. This is not what I signed up for and it was not what the KidsRKids website says or what I was told on the tour. I called the corporate office and complained. The quality assurance person said she would call the school and remind them of the KidsRKids philosophies.

I notice the good rating review was dated back to 2006. So I guess things has changed now. The students to teacher ratio is not good considering 24 to 2. Staff is impatient and less experience. They even didn't notice the scratch on my kid's face.

MY SON WENT TO KRK FOR ALMOST A YEAR...IN THAT TIME HE DID LEARN ALOT FROM HIS TEACHERS!! BUT ALSO HE WAS LEFT OUTSIDE TWICE THE FIRST TIME BY HIMSELF THEN THE SECOND TIME WITH 2 OTHER CHILDREN. I WORKED AT A DAYCARE AND I JUST DONT GET HOW YOU LEAVE A CHILD OUTSIDE! ALSO WHILE I WAS GETTING MY SON I NOTICED IN THE OTHER PAYGROUND TEACHERS LETTING THE STUDENTS CLIMB ON TOP OF THE BIG TOYS AND STANDING ON THE SLIDES EDGE. AND THE TEACHERS WERE TOO BUSY TALKING TO EACH OTHER.

We have been happy with this school in the last year of having both of our children there. The teachers are warm and caring and I am pleased with how much my younger child is learning there. My older child is in after school care only and I do wish it were more structured with less time spent with all the kids playing Game Boys or video games, but overall, that isn't a major complaint because it isn't for a long period of time each day. And the biggest test is whether my children like spending time at the school. Both of them like it, which is reassuring. I also really appreciate the ability to see my children via the Internet access. That helps me to relax and focus on my job rather than worrying if they are OK.‎
