I agree with previous post. Do not let the beautiful school and professional looking staff fool you. Horrible experience! My daughter attended at 3 1/2 and every time I picked her up in the carpool lane she was basically pulled and dragged to the car as the teachers were rushing around totally unorganized. Eventually, I began to go in to get her and the area where the children wait was complete and utter chaos! There is very little supervision when the children use the bathroom. When my daughter had to use the potty there was no one available to assist so she went on her own and walked in on a boy in the one room unisex bathroom! Later, she wanted to know why the little boy was standing to us the potty! Seriously! Totally unacceptable!

My son attended Kensington for two years and the staff still didn't know that he was my child. Good curriculum and beautiful facility but lacking the atmosphere and personal attention that children need in a preschool setting.

I have had two kids go through Kensington and have been a Kensington parent for four years. Needless to say, I have a lot of experience with this school.

Like any school, you will find teachers that you love and ones that you don't, but I really believe their curriculum is fantastic. My kids were always excited to go to school every day! The kids have spanish, learn about master painters and even built a skeleton! I don't know any other preschools that can compete with that!

That said, their enrollment process is horrid! Existing parents begin standing in line at 3:30 IN THE MORNING! Ridiculous! After being at this school for four years, we did not get in this year because we weren't able to get up that early. (My husband works in the city and I have other kids to consider.)

Also, I had heard a lot of complaints about the director of the Naperville campus and this year was the first time I really had to deal with her. I will say, I completely understand all of the complaints. I quite honestly think she is incompetent and worthless. (Not because she didn't help us, but because she LIED to us!) She offers a lot of "I knows" but very little action. I think she is a glorified secretary.

All of that said, I think it is a great school. My daughter is going into her last year of preschool and we have to switch schools this year and it is breaking my heart. If you are considering Kensington, I would suggest you be prepared for the enrollment process and do your best to use someone other than the director if you need.

My 2 year old and 3 year old just started and I am really happy with the program and thankful that we chose Kensington. We toured several preschools in the area, and many of them were nice but I still had a nervous feeling. We toured Kensington, were blown away with all apects of the school, and quickly knew that this was the school for our kids. The director, Mrs. Robb, is so passionate about her school and the children. What an important element to have at a preschool!

Wonderful place!
We send our three kids to Kensington, and it's been wonderful. Our oldest daughter has been going there since she was 10 months old (she's now 4). The curriculum is great; the outside space is wonderful, and they can run around in a gym when ...
