I had my first experience with Kennelwood last month. I had a family emergency out of town that required my husband and I to leave immediately. We had to pack, get the kids to my sisters, find someone to get the mail, AND THE DOGS! We were lost as to what to do about the dogs. My sister suggested that I call Kennelwood. I called to find out what I needed to do to board them. They were so helpful. They asked me a few questions about the dogs to create a profile for them. I was told that I needed proof of their vaccinations. I immediately went into a panic as it would have taken me about an hour (that I did not have) to locate their records. When the lady heard the panic in my voice she told me that she would be more than happy to call my vet and get the records for me over the phone. She then told me that since I was in such a hurry Kennelwood could pick my dogs up from my home in their shuttle vans to save us time. I accepted the offer and Kennelwood was at my home within 40 minutes. Kennelwood made it so easy to board my dogs. My dogs seemed happy and healthy when we picked them up a week later. Thank you Kennelwood!

I have been very pleased overall with Kennelwood's services. The staff is extremely friendly, efficient, professional, and experienced in caring for pets! The facilities at Kennelwood are also very clean which is important to me. I know that when I bring my dog she will enjoy a full day of pampering and fun. Currently, I am taking advantage of Kennelwood's day training program and I am very pleased! My dog is becoming more manageable on a lead and better behaved. The trainers at Kennelwood have really helped me in my situation!

I was on the verge of finding a new home for my newly adopted two year old dalmation mix. He was constantly jumping on me and almost knocking me over. He would jump on visitors to my house and even got a date muddy. He chewed two turkish rugs, a leather recliner, and a ralph lauren bed skirt. He would charge my plate if I was eating dinner on the couch frequntly causing me to spill food on myself, the couch and the floor. He would often ram me while I was cooking dinner or doing anything that cuased me to pay less attention to him. I was fed up. I googled training and found Kennelwood. I set up a free evaluation with the trainer. He said that he could help me. I can not beleive the diference this training made!! The trainer taught the dog obedience commands including "the climb". He also gave me tips and tricks on how to become the boss of my dog instead of him being the boss of me. I could spend all day writing about the wonderful training program. But you really have to see it to believe it. If it wasn't for Kennelwood I would not have Spotters anymore.

I recently was in St. Louis on vacation with my 2 dogs. I had never boarded them before so I was not aware of all of the requirements to do so. I had made reservations ahead of time with Kennelwood for my dogs to stay the day their as I went around to see the sights of St.. Louis. Since this was my first time, I had a lot of concerns and had called Kennelwood 2 times to make sure all the arrangements were okay. Both times I was told that all I needed to bring with me was proof of current vaccinations. The day came for me to drop them off and I was not able to leave them there because the staff that I had made arrangements with in advance NEVER informed me ( a first time customer FROM OUT OF TOWN) that besides the normal vaccinations my dogs also needed a special vaccination called bordetella that dogs usually only got when they are being boarded. My plans were completely ruined and I had to go home because I had no place for my dogs to stay for the day. NO ONE ever infromed me of this special vaccination. I don't think the time to inform customers of such a thing is when they are checking in. They should have informed me EITHER ON THIER WEBSITE OR ATLEAST IN ONE OF THE 2 CALLS I HAD MADE TO MAKE SURE THE BOARDING WOULD GO SMOOTHLY. The reason why I called both times was to make sure what happened DIDNT HAPPEN! VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY RAN ORGANIZATION.

I have been bringing my dog to Kennelwood since I got her in 2003. She has been through puppy obedience classes, worked with a day trainer and enjoys going to camp everyday. When I take her in the mornings she is excited to get out of the car often snubbing me for the excitement she is about to enjoy. The workers have always been friendly, know most dogs by name and are quick to get you what you need. I have taken my dog to a few other kennels, but the cost at Kennelwood and the love provided makes it a no brainer.
