We visited Charleston and didn't know anything about where to get a good lunch. We walked around downtown and stumbled upon this cute restaurant on the corner and decided to try the sandwiches and salads they advertised in the windows. We chose what we wanted from the menu on the wall and placed our order with the helpful cashier. They have some interesting combinations and vegetarians won't be disappointed. But don't worry, not all of their choices are "frou-frou" as some men might say.

After the five of us placed our orders, we sat at a picnic style bench and the waitress brought out our meal in no time. We all enjoyed what we ordered. I had the hummus salad and the combination of greens and hummus with some vinegarette was fantastic. The portions were adequate, also. I think we paid, on average, $7 for drink, salad or sandwich and a side.

If you're looking for a quick, tasty lunch downtown in Charleston, this is the place I would recommend.
