Charming Victorian house, great location except for being right under the flight pattern (we thought that the 747s were going to land on the roof). Breakfast was tasty and vegetarian; the room was clean, safe, and charming. One of the owners was terribly rude and tried to get us to pay for a night that we had canceled; the other was gracious, kind and most helpful. The friendly host made up for his partner's snobbery and ill-manners, but I doubt that I'll book at this location again.‎

My friend recently made a reservation to stay, but discovered there was no adequate service in her room per her request. When attempted to CANCEL within hours of confirming - owner 'Doug' got very hostile/angry and responded "Never make a reservation to stay here again!" Well, guess what, we won't - and we'll make sure all our friends know about 'Doug' the owner's rudeness too.‎

Unless you spend hundreds a night on accomodations, it's difficult to find a truly nice place in a great location for less than an arm and a leg in San Diego. It's why the Keating House is such a gem. It's an excellent value by any b&b ...
