Dr. Danger
I saw Martin Karasch about four times after a suicide attempt. He was recommended by a doctor at the hospital (who turned out the be his former partner). I missed my fifth appointment and forgot to call. I was on a lot of medication which the doctor prescribed. When I called back to reschedule, he took the phone from his receptionist and angrily accused me of "standing him up." He demanded immediate payment which I made over the phone. Later, the receptionist apologized to me and said she didn't know why he acted that way. Obviously, I never went back. About a year later I was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. I went through hell during that year. My problem was made far worse since I waited a long time to see another doctor. After Dr. Karasch, I didn't trust psychiatrists. Dr. Karasch hurt me. I still don't understand why.
He had absolutely no business treating a patient with a recent suicide attempt in the way he did. He has no business practicing medicine at all. He's dangerous
