The Kandiland group of schools has been around for quite awhile. I had several friends that attended the first school that opened in the 80's in Pearland. That school is still open and is still being run by the same director and core group of assistant directors and teachers. What a wonderful facility it was for both of my children. When we moved to League City in 2006, there was no question that Kandiland South Shore was the place for us. I had interviewed several schools in Pearland (before moving) and League City from time to time just to make sure I knew what else was out there and NOTHING compared to the Kandiland facilities. I have recommended them time and time again over other child care facilities and now that my children are out of their child care years, I still recommend Kandiland to anyone searching for quality and reasonably priced child care services. Kandiland doesn't "feel" like a day care - the very term makes me think of some place you drop off your kid so that someone else can give them minimum care. At Kandiland it is such a different, healthier atmosphere. The staff genuinely cares and the state regs are not only strictly followed and enforced, but the management sees to it that regs are exceeded daily. The director and assistant director are VERY active in each classroom and I have never seen a case of absentee management in all my years of utilizing their services. I worked at this facility for about a year before I left due to getting married. This is BY FAR, the best child care facility I've ever seen. Management ALWAYS followed licensing regulations and trained and expected the staff to do the same. Children were treated with the utmost care and attention. Staffing was always according to licensing regulations and if needed, the Director or one of the Assistant Directors would step into classrooms. the environment was fun and energetic while also being safe and comfortable. I'm shocked that someone thinks that management hasn't ever worked with children. From my understanding the Director WAS a teacher before in a childcare facility, and I know that the two Assistant Directors have also worked with children because before their promotions, they were both teachers in the this facility. (And very good ones, too.) If anyone has any concerns, I would advise you to talk to the Director. She listens and tries to work with you (whether you're a parent or teacher). She wants her school to be a success and a comfortable place for everyone involved, (and she doesn't cut corners to do it like every other daycare I've seen. Like I said, she follows licensing regulations TO THE LETTER!). In my opinion, Kandiland in League City is THE BEST childcare facility!

Its the best preschool!: This is the best preschool my child has ever been in! The teachers are great, and everyone is always happy. The teachers in my child's class do fun art projects with the kids, and they are even learning how to read! I love it!
