Armed with a lot of information on what to look for in a high quality dog food for my new puppy, I ventured with excitement and determination to buy. I enter with cheery hello and ask for the dog food and say that I would like to spend time reading the labels. So I spend time reading all of the ingredients of a couple of labels and then a couple more when I realize that I am continually ask if I need help in such a way that I am actually being told they don't like that. I literally implored them to allow me to continue to read the labels. They obviously did not like this. I was asked if they wanted them to look the prices up on the computer when they actually knew the prices off the top of their head. I literally had to ask 6 or 7 times in 20 minutes to be allowed to continue to read the labels. So although I entered happy with excitement to buy a quality product for my new puppy, the gloomy mood of suspicion made me feel very uncomfortable. I was clean and well dressed and there was no reason for this. When I finished looking at the food I wanted to check out some chew toys and such but the overall feeling was very unwelcoming. I just felt my neck tightening as I looked over the various collars They turned a happy shopping trip for my new puppy into
a miserable exercise. The next time I need food I will consider any other place. If anyone from John's Pet Shop is reading this, I want to tell you that you made my trip there a terrible experience. I don't even know why I bought a $27/ 15lb bag of dog food there. I suppose I wanted to prove to them that I was just well dressed homeless riffraff. I should have gone to there competition about 3-4 blocks away where they understand how people feel and where they actually encourage you to read the labels and where they offer free samples! I would avoid this place unless you just want to literally run in and run out.

I have been a costumer for 12 years, since i moved to the beach. Besides being open 7 days a week, the staff is really friendly and they have a large selection of products at competitive prices. If you want a product they do not carry, they are happy to order it for you. Also, John has been super generous donating food and pet supplies to Dade County Animal Control. I recommend John's Pet Store for all your pet needs!!!!!

This store has one main thing that is the most best about his store that truly stands out: That the staff really know what they are doing as long as they ae doing what they are supposed to. If you were to ask them anything at all about products of animals and what not they will know how to answer and that shows that they are extremely dedicated to their job. Also the HUGE varieties of supplies for your animals are out of this world, with the costs low and as littl this store deserves your chance to go in nd see for yourself since your pet will truly be thankful for that,

I have a cat and would visit john's for all of my pet's needs. I have never had a problem with the staff. I found them to be courteous and they were quite knowledgeable about explaining new kitty products to me. There is always enough parking to be found even though it's in a busy area. John's is on alton road so drop by if in the area!
