No Way I'll call them again
They Charged me $180 for 3lbs of Freon. The unit stopped working the next day after they filled it up. They were a no call-no show for an emergency repair during the 7pm-11pm window they gave me. Had to relocate family and pets to Hotel and Vet. Still have not fixed the problem, still won't refund my money. And I STILL don't have A/C. To say I'm furious is an understatement.
Price Range: $100 - $200

John Moore Plumbing
I am posting this everyplace I can find. This company has a history of making appointments and giving out a window which they do not intend to abide by. They use a standard ploy of saying they will be out between such and such. Then they call 30 minutes before the end of the window and say they are running late, but they have not forgotten you. Another couple of hours go by, and they call again. They are still stuck at the last job, but they will be there in a couple of hours. By then it is dark, so you say wait till tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and they are still working on the job that made them late in the first place. This happened to me the first time and I thought they really were just busy (they also scratched my wood floor when removing a water heater), but when it happened the same way the next time, I saw the pattern. I then went to the computer and started reading reviews and VOILA, I should have known better. Do yourself a favor. Read the reviews first (I did not) and call someone else.

Had an appointment for plumbing work 8-11am on a Saturday
Had an appointment for plumbing work 8-11am on a Saturday morning. No one showed up or even called. Their toll-free phone number was not working. I found their local number (not listed on their website), and they were completely unapologetic... simply said they were busy and didn't have time to call. I canceled my appointment. Don't bother with this company.

I called John Moore Services at 2 o'clock on a Wednesday to schedule an A/C service call. The representative told me that she could have someone at my home between 5pm and 8pm that evening. I contacted them at 7:30 that evening to reconfirm that the appointment had been made and was told that the technician was running behind but that he would show up. I was told to call back if I wanted to reschedule for the next day. Around 9:30 I called again and cancelled my appointment and was told that I would be on a first priority list for the following days work. The following day I received a voice mail around 6:45, when I returned the call I was told someone would be dispatched to my home as soon as they finished the current job. I called again 2 hours later just to make sure they were still coming and was told they were. At 10pm I called again just to confirm someone was coming and got and answering service who told me that the technicians don't work that late and they had rolled the phones to them. I cancelled the service call completely and was told by the answering service that a manager would contact me first thing in the morning and I'm still waiting on that phone call. I initially pick John Moore because of their many awards with the Better Business Bureau. All the representatives I talked to were extremely polite but in the end the awards don't hold much merit if you have to deal with this much run around.
