Matt Riskam teaches at the Johannes School of Music. His versatility and love for all types of Music enables students to harness their passions into a developing talent. He is able to bring out every individual's inner musicality and fuse it with the proper techniques and styles. His enthusiasm and incredible patience inspired my jazz and blues' singing. Though I struggle on the guitar, he never stops pushing me to do my best. I highly recommend the school. I also highly recommend Ronald Chaz Barcenilla. My name is Grace Abergas, singer.

Ronald as well as the other instructors at this school are exceptional in motivating and teaching students. It has been, by far, the best instruction we've ever received in piano or voice by these dedicated and caring teachers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Johannes to anyone (and have) since I believe they truly create musicians out of their students. Exceptional program!

I have had the pleasure in receiving instruction from the Johannes School of Music as an advanced student since early 1998. My primary piano teacher has been Ronald Chaz Barcenilla. I have always found him to be a conscientious and meticulous teacher, most reliable and dependable person. I highly recommend him and all staff of the school.

Student focussed rather than just business. Owner-director of school is best with keeping children motivated in developing skills in performance. Performance standard is very high (as I've attended all if not most of their recitals/concerts/competitions). There is a very high level of competition within peers (particularly in Piano and Voice performance). Teachers are excellent, obviously well screened and there is consistent effort by all to provide the best possible musical education and service.
