Try Beverly's

I have shopped at Jo-Ann's for about 30 years. I have stopped shopping there because I was told their policy is that if you have had something, like zippers for more than 90 days, 91 to be precise, you cannot return them to the store. I don't know where that is posted and I don't know what can possibly happen to an un-opened, with a receipt, zipper that would make it un-saleable after 90 days. When I tried to find out why, I was told "it's our policy. Period."

I come in here every now and then for various projects. The fabric selection isn't huge and the staff is hard to find if you need help reaching high ones, but I always seem to find what I need. It's funny how craft stores can make the least creative person Martha Stewart because everything is already made. The woman behind me in line loved it for scrap booking. They also have a ton of print fabrics. I was making an animal costume which was hard because it wasn't Halloween season and they didn't have costume catalogs for ideas. But, I always get ideas for other projects while I am there. I think there is a little something for everyone without being huge like Michael's.

I can't even express how much i love this store! I go here everytime i have the urge to sew or make something. Everything is always sold at a good price, there are bizillion sales, and many coupons esp if you're a preffered customer. The people that work there are generally older, which makes them much sweeter and smarter about how to go about making things. I love the selection : fabrics, yarns, sewing supples, etc. COme by and check it out, you'll love it too.
