Love this place
We eat here at least once a week. We enjoy meeting friends in the bar area and enjoy the laid back relaxed atmosphere. There food is as good or better than most seafood restaurants I've been to (and I lived at the beach for years) the service is usually good and the prices are reasonable. Try them, I feel you'll be happy!

Not as good as expected. by R L. at InsiderPages
The atmosphere is great and they have done a great job with decor.. however the food is not superb and the prices are as high as Red Lobster if not higher with out the same quality of food as Red Lobster offers..

Been Once, Won't Go Back
I was very unimpressed with the ambiance. Not sure what i was expecting, but it had the sterile, fakey atmosphere of a TGI Friday's without the clutter. They tried hard to force it to look quaint and failed miserably. Not to mention that it is extremely loud in there. The side salad was your typical "white bread" cafeteria-style one with a few limp, sad pieces of lettuce and a couple slices of mushy tomatoes. The seafood was marginal and the sides were overcooked and bland.

Best Seafood in Town
Their She Crab Soup is to die for. Excellent menu choices and options. There is not a bad choice on the menu.
Excellent wine list.
The staff is great. They are not overly intrusive, or scarce to be found. Perfectly attentive.
I make it a point to come here whenever I'm in town which is once, or twice a year.
You will not be disappointed. *************** **************** ***************** ******************** ********************* **************************

I had a chance to visit Jimmies again. I was majorly disappointed. The food was not the same quality that I had come to know and love. The she crab soup was still outstanding but the rest of my dinner was lack luster. It is doubtful that when I return to NC that I will go there again.

Can always count on Jimmy's
My husband and I (and usually a couple of friends) go to Jimmy's on a pretty regular basis. We always sit at the bar and we ALWAYS receive excellent service. We have sampled about half the menu items now and have never been dissappointed....particularly with the seafood. We had oysters on the half shell last Sunday and they were the best we've had this year.....anywhere! New restaurants keep opening in Winston-Salem and we try them all but we always end up coming back to Jimmy's.
