When the party mom booked the party on March 27, 2008 she was explained the routine of the parties and what she would receive. On all of our marketing materials, it shows what we provide. We provide: cups, plates & napkins for the children at the party, we provide Two party hostesses, we provide a Jazzy appearance, we provide cradles, we provide Birth Certificates, we provide Invitations, we provide one and one half hour of party time, all of this for a Theme fee of $50.00.
The theme that was chosen for Tegan'S party was the Sandy Candy theme. With this theme we provide little 1 and ???? inch plastic containers that the kids pour in sand, which is actually candy. The children get to keep these after they make them. This party also gives the children the choice of picking out and animal in the store even if it is a twenty-dollar animal. ALL of this is included in the $50.00 theme fee.
On April 6, 2008, the date of Tegan??????s party, when Tegan??????s mom entered the store, she immediately asked why the spacewalk was not inflated. She was explained that the spacewalk had ripped the day before when too many kids were in it at a party on April 5, 2008. The Spacewalk is NOT part of the party package, it is Lagniappe. It remains in the store during parties and even when there are no parties. The reason that it is not part of the party package because they do break and are very costly to continue to replace each time they break. They are also very difficult to find on a short notice. Therefore; it is not part of the $50.00 theme fee.
The party mom was very upset immediately due to the spacewalk be deflated and commanded that we put it up. In trying to appease her we did exactly that.
