hey - as a guy this is pretty much one of the only shops on melrose i'd be interested in going into - even though I know I won't buy anything. The stuff in here is cute for girls but the shirts are pretty cool and sometimes funny. If a girl drags you in here at least you can play ps2. Good for gifts I suppose

This store is full of all things JAPANESE. They have tons of toys and clothes and sell brands like hello kitty and toki doki. Its a small store off of Melrose Ave., but it is crammed with so much stuff that you can spend a lot of time in there.

I absolutely love this little boutique! Every time I'm up in the Westla area I always try to make it out to Japan LA. Japan LA is a Japanese pop culture store specializing in vinyl toys, plush dolls, and clothes. What I love most about this store is that they have very cute and exclusive T-Shirts from Tokidoki, Spicybrown, Crowded Teeth, Gama-Go and more. I myself am I big fan of Gama-Go and this store is one of the few that retails in SoCal since Gama-Go is based in San Francisco. The store itself is really warm and cute, the staff is very friendly. On some occasions they have the PS2 out to play guitarhero. Pricing is average, you pay for what you are buying like Tokidoki and Gama-Go are a little bit on the expensive side. I would recommend this boutique to anyone who likes cute asian influenced items.
