This dojo is as authentic as they come. Strict adherence to traditional Japanese dojo customs is evident, as well as tough, strict, yet patient teaching. What you will not find here is a free pass! It is not expected that everyone at this dojo is a professional athlete, but what is expected is that everyone gives 100% all of the time. If you put in your time and sweat, you WILL learn the traditional art of Shotokan Karate. There is no quick or easy method to learn other than commitment!! The students at this dojo have nothing but respect and admiration for their instructor, and he returns the sentiments with this excellent teaching abilities and detailed explanations. Anyone can find a home at this dojo, regardless of age, height, weight, sex, religion, etc. This dojo is one of the few traditional dojos left. Get it while you can!

This karate dojo is the best in the area. The sensei, Mr. James Field is a seventh-degree black belt and it he 3rd highest-ranking American in North, South and Central America. He is an amazing instructor. Very patient, very good. I just started...it isn't easy, but I love this karate school. No class is ever taught by anyone under the rank of Shodan, so the classes are very good. Intense...but very good!
