knowledgable and caring by karen d. at InsiderPages
my gsd had skin problems all of her life and numerous vets had said there were no affordable or effective treatments. dr mitch fully evaluated my dogs skin and made a treatment plan. he described the plan, costs, and other options. the treatment worked, just as he said it would, and i was very satisfied.

I was shocked and appalled at what came out of her mouth when I expressed my hesitation about sedating my 12 eyar old dog for treatment. He's fat and he might croak, but that's a risk we'll have to take. A little sensitivity would have been nice, instead she told me I needed to stop coddling him.

Years Of Service, No More by trapspam h. at InsiderPages
After having used this Vet service for more than a decade we have decided to go elsewhere.

The reason. The good Vet has changed his billing system, itemizing each and every potential revenue service including some that are highly questionable.

Such as, technician fee if the vet does not see your pet, $10.50. If the vet sees your pet then the fee jumps to $43.00. Also charging for expendables and disposal fees for a simple injection. In our opinion he has become the most expensive Vet on James Island, SC.

No thank you.

George and Charlene

Caring, Honest, Clean, Professional by sonya p. at InsiderPages
11-16-07: Before bringing my cat, I drove around to check out different clinics to get a feel for the establishments. I immediately felt good about this place when I pulled in; the outside looked clean and professional, the inside was orderly, clean and well-lit. I arrived unannouced, but they were willing to accommodate me and I was able to talk to a vet-tech about my concerns. I made an appointment for the next week and brought my maine-coone cat who had a terrible mat around his genitals. Dr. Mitchell saw my cat. I was very worried because I knew my cat would need to be fully sedated by a gas box because of a past experience in a different clinic in which Liam, my cat, actually screamed, he was so traumatized and would not let anyone touch him in that area. Dr. Mitchell was patient with me while I asked a lot of questions. They allowed me to observe if I wanted to. The proceedure was quick and I had never been more nervous. Liam is soooo much better now and hopefully, with a clean start, he will let me brush him in that area as his hair grows back. I recommend this hospital; especially if you expect the best for your pet

First impression was good! by Evelyn C. at InsiderPages
I entered this animal hospital on 9-13-07, not to get an appointment for my pet, but to introduce myself and my new business, Puppy Love Mobile Grooming to the James Island Veterinary Hospital. I cannot comment on the any treatment my dog got, but I can say that the front office environment and the staff that spoke with me were professional, friendly and focused. I observed interactions between the staff and their customers and their dogs and liked what I saw.

If my dog, Gracie needed a vet, I certainly would consider using this James Island Veterinary Hospital.
