I wouldn't go back or recommend it to anyone else.
It was my first time visiting Jaffee Eye Associates. I had a minor concern that required a standard exam. Since I didn't have U.S. insurance (I'm a US citizen, but work overseas for a foreign company), I was told a basic/standard exam would cost $65 and any additional work would be extra, which seemed perfectly within reason. I met with Dr. Ruffy who made me feel a little like I was wasting his time with my concerns. At the end of my basic/standard visit (a nurse tested my vision for 2 minutes and Dr. Ruffy examined my eyes for about 5 minutes, first without and then with a machine), Dr. Ruffy charged me $155. When I asked to see an itemized version of my bill to explain the difference in price, I was told that no one could've predicted what my bill would be despite the fact that I'd received a basic/standard exam and been told a basic/standard exam costs $65. Two of my family members are also patients of Dr. Jaffee's. When I told them about what happened to me, they said that they were also dissatisfied with the services they received (they're both insurance holders) and were in the process of finding a new eye doctor. A suggestion from my family to yours: you should try finding another eye doctor as well.
