Irish Pub is giving the competition a run for their money!
Sounds like the competition in the neighborhood has nothing but bad things to say about the Irish Pub. Well they are lying! The Irish Pub has the best Happy Hour on the Eastside $1.50 domestic pints from 11 am till 7 pm!! They have a Happy Hour menu that I found to be under priced considering the competition in the neighborhood. The pub has new management, and a new kitchen crew with tons of experience! I have seen alot of positive changes with the Irish Pub in the last couple of months! I live on the Eastside and pass up all the competition to go to the Irish Pub for the service, prices and atmosphere. The Irish Pub is locally owned and has been at E. Tanque Verde for 16 years. They must be doing something right! Sorry competition, stop crying in your overpriced drinks!

This was my first visit to the Irish Pub and will NEVER return.
This was my first visit to the Irish Pub and will NEVER return. I guess they were understaffed that night and instead of the server letting us know that she was rude and rarely seen during the night. After waiting forever for our food and drinks we had to wait over an hour for our checks. Talked to the manager but got us nothing. Not worth the drive or headache. And if you DO decide to try it out, DO NOT HAVE THE FISH AND CHIPS, you will be sick afterwards.

I went to this Irish Pub on Friday to check out the Happy Hour
I went to this Irish Pub on Friday to check out the Happy Hour specials and see what the place is like. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I had an overpriced Bloody Mary, severly overfried fish that had ill effects on my digestive system, and a beer. Everything took way too long to come out. My total was $18 (not such a great Happy Hour). I had to flag the server down to order and it took an hour and a half to get my bill. When I confronted the server about the poor service she snapped at me that she was really busy, however she did not at any point tell me that she was sorry about the slow service or warn me that tonight was an exception to the norm. Unless you have all night, and plan on having nothing but domestic beeers on tap, go somewhere else. This place is a joke.

This place is great if you love poor service (Not being asked
This place is great if you love poor service (Not being asked if you'd like anything else from the time your cold food is served and when you have to approach the server to ask for your check.) It's even better if you like cold and soggy fish and chips. My wife's burger was very well done, yet served cold, and appeared to have been made from a frozen patty. I really enjoyed the warm cole slaw and cold fried food. What a combo! My wife and I eat out at least twice a week and adamantly agreed this was the worst meal we can remember having in a very long time. Save your time, money and stomachs. I know we will in the future.

Cool East Side Pub by Gus B. at InsiderPages
The Irish Pub is the best bar and grill on the east side.It is located in the upscale Tanque Verde Valley and has a very friendly atmosphere.Every Friday and some Saturday nights they have live music. The food is well above average and the portions are generous. The Pub has numerous domestic and foreign, draft and bottled beers as well as a full liquor bar. A very large outdoor patio is provided with both smoking and non-smoking sections, and the patio is heated during cold nights. The waiting staff is very professional, prompt and helpful. The patrons are a real mixture ranging in ages from their early 20s through their 80s.To top it off, Four large flat screen TVs are provided with satellite hookup for your sports viewing pleasure. The Pub is always a pleasure to visit.
