The Prettiest Library In N. California‎
I love libraries, but most suburban Bay Area towns' libraries were designed in the concrete brick/cinder block era and are not much to look at on the inside or outside. Not so the Inverness Library. Surrounded by the most exquisite and fascinating perennial garden with hummingbirds and other fowl zipping from flower to branch, the Inverness Library is housed in a Victorian home, and though small, it is an absolutely pleasant place to be. The librarians are pleasant and there are public bathroom facilities. Best of all, one of the rooms is devoted to showcasing local art and photography. My husband and I still think fondly of one photography exhibit that was being held a few years ago. The wonderful images of local wildlife and wildflowers truly enriched our stay in the village and even helped us to identify one of the flowers we'd been admiring up on Pierce Point Road.
