dead animals‎
I would pass on this museum of dead animals. I believe it is funded and supported by big game hunters and their organizations. Go a few miles further west and visit the Desert Sonoran Museum for an overall better experience.‎

We have enjoyed taking our grandchildren to the IWM for several
We have enjoyed taking our grandchildren to the IWM for several years. In fact, we just took three of them today, 2 back for a second visit, while their younger sister for the first time. My one complaint is that they no longer offer a hot food concession, despite that being stated on independent websites that appear to be 'official' IWM websites. This caught us off guard when feeding 3 small children and had to make due with 'junk food' and snacks we had brought along. The museum itself is very educational and entertaining, and we will continue to bring our grandchildren time and time again.

International Wildlife Museum - a first...
Zoos are wonderful places. But you dont always get to see the animals - sometimes they are hiding. Books and TV are wonderful ways to learn about wildlife. But to truly appreciate them, you need to experience them close-up and personal. In the wild would be the best, but how many of us will ever get to Africa or Asia? The International Wildlife Museum has more than 400 species of mammals, birds and insects, most of which youll never get to see in real life. Here you can not only see them, but you can get within a few feet of most of them, and there are many which you are able to touch - to feel their coats, and horns. The Museum has two rotating exhibit galleries which change every 4-6 months or so. When I was there, they had a really cool exhibit on Prehistoric Pronghorn - Antelope Ancestors with wierd fossil pronghorn, some with really bizzare horns. And they have a complete skeleton of a fossil pronghorn from a cave near Sonoita, Arizona. Another rotating exhibit is about Jaguars in ...

Wow!
This place is huge inside. Every animal you can think of preserved for generations to enjoy. If stuffed animals freak you out, then this is not the place for you. Hunters and children will love it however! They encourage to touch lots of the exhibits which is the exact opposite of regular museums. Great air conditioning to as well. Definitely recommend!‎
