Dear Sensei Ruocco, My husband Bill first signed Michael and James up for Martial Arts lessons. I thought it was
a good idea because I had a couple of hours to myself during the week. Bill started traveling with his job more
and I had to take them to Judo. I did not realize what the boys had joined.
They were not just having fun learning Martial Arts. They were learning how to be better people. The boys are
taught to respect, listen, and behave inside and outside of the Dojo. Both boys are keeping an A average in
school this year, and behave respectfully towards their teachers. I started taking kickboxing classes three
months ago to get into shape. I liked it so much I started one on one lessons. It is not just for physical fitness,
but mental health as well.
I want to thank everyone at the Dojo for making us feel welcome and comfortable.

I joined International Martial Arts Academy about a year ago with my kids. I did it at first as just something to do with my kids. I am a single 30 something mom and am forever trying to find a family activity that the kids want to stick with. Well, we all got our trial lesson and I just figured it would be just another impersonal cookie cutter place to take our money. I was wrong. The folks that work at International Martial Arts Academy made us feel like family from the word go and the kids love the lessons. We go three times a week, we have real fun and, as single mom, I learned how to protect my kids.. Do not get me wrong, The training is really tough, but practicing at night with the kids before they go to bed and seeing the progress over time is a joy. The class schedule is very flexible so that it does not interfere with work or school. It is not all about Martial Arts either. THE ACADEMY IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE INSTRUCTORS REALLY MOTIVATED AND QUALIFIED! I'M ATTENDING GROUP CLASSES AND ONCE A WEEK PRIVATE. MY SON GROUP CLASSES.
