I'm stunned by some of the negative, nasty and ignorant and violent comments some have posted on this site. I have had worked with ICR for nearly 10 years now and NEVER had a single problem. As a professional photographer working for a news gathering organization in and around Pasadena and greater LA, we needed someone reliable, quick and fair. After shopping around a bit we found ICR to be the best of both worlds. Saying they are dishonest simply is not my experience. In fact, I think that the owners will bend over backwards to help you. If I ever have a problem with a repair, they always take care of it right away. They have serviced my Nikons and all the abuse I give em...bring em back to life when I drop a very expensive 2.8 lens that I thought was dead! Indeed, they in a word have performed miracles for me.
From film to digital, these guys KNOW cameras and do an excellent job in my opinion.

If anyone can bring my 300mm 2.8 back to life after I dropped it on concrete at Santa Anita race track....they deserve a medal for that one alone!
I still use it today....
All MyNikon Ds have been fixed to as new condition and always at a fair price.

Don't know what more people want. They ARE honest and fair and damn good at what they do.

Contact me at the Pasadena Independent personally and I'll gladly tell you in how efficient and professional ICR is!

I will always recommend them!
Sincerely,

Terence Miller

Untrustworthy. Lied and didn't fix camera. Lost 165 bucks.
Took camera in for a fix. Was asked to pay 165 up front. I trusted him. So I did. He said it would be done in 2 days. Took 4. Told me they'd call when it was done. I had to come in and the camera was just sitting there. The camera was given back to me. I checked it before signing for it and the camera was not fixed at all. Was exactly the same as when I brought it in. The owner then tells me that the camera wasn't working at all before and he fixed it for me. I brought it in to fix a dirty shutter release button. And the camera DID still work because I had just gone to NY the week before and took tons of photos. The button was just dirty so I had to press down harder. He said it wouldnt take photos at all when I brought it in. Funny because when I first brought it in, he took photos in front of me with it. He gave it back, camera is exactly the same as when I brought it in. No difference. Lost 165 bucks. He says Nikon's are made with the button like that. No way. I know my camera and I know when something changes. DO NOT GO HERE. BURN IT DOWN.

Great Camera Repair
My Minolta Camera had some serious problems and I sent it to a place that was recommended by a local camera shop. After a couple weeks the camera was returned because they could not get parts. I found International Camera Repair on the internet and talked with them about the problem. They said they would try to find the parts and if I would send the camera to them they would give me an estimate on the cost. I sent the camera to them in Pasadena, CA and I shortly received the estimated cost which to me seemed very reasonable. It took around two months for them to find the parts but they did repair the camera and it is as good as new. These folks were a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone.

Poor service, untrustworthy
I had a camera and lens that needed service and dropped both off to ICR in Pasadena. A month later I picked both up, and that's when ICR told me they did not have the "faulty" parts they said they had to take out and replace (and which they charged me for), because they had "disposed" of them. Since they claimed they ordered all new parts directly from the manufacturer, I called Canon USA's parts depot, who had ICR on file but no record of any parts ordered during the time my camera and lens were in for repair. I asked ICR's owner, Mike Berberian, for proof in the form of a packing slip that they actually ordered new parts as he claimed they did. He refused, saying that packing slips were "company information" that "could not be disclosed."

In the end, I am convinced that I was charged fraudulently for parts that were never ordered and service that was never performed on my camera and lens.
