The Inn at Middleton Place is surrounded in tall pine trees on the bluffs of Ashley River. The Inn received an award from the American Institute of Architects. Guest rooms have a small refridgerator, coffee pot, tv, internet, ironing board, large windows, large bathtubs, wood floors, wood paneling, wood furniture, wood shutters, and a wood burning fireplace. Property ammenities include kayaking, biking, walking / hiking nature trails, and horseback riding. The Inn’s Backyard Wildlife Habitat site received a Wildlife Federation's Commercial Conservation Award. They serve great food at the Inn. It is a relaxing place to vacation, and was listed in Travel & Leisure's "Top Ten Places to go Next".

My wife stayed two nights at the Inn at Middleton Place after my parents gave us a getaway package there as a gift. We had a great time during our stay, We really enjoyed the close proximity of the inn to the river, the tranquility, the large amount of sunlight in our room, and the wood burning fireplace (with unlimited wood right outside the room) was great too. My wife and I are both vegan and it was clear to us that staff made commendable efforts to accommodate us. Overall, the inn seemed like a great value. The package included a bottle of wine and chocolate coated strawberries in our room, dinner for two at the Plantation restaurant (where the chef pulled together a satisfactory vegan entree), free wine (and cheese) in the evenings, free admission to the adjacent Plantation grounds and museum, and free breakfast in the morning (although as vegans we didn't have much to choose from).‎

This inn is part of an old plantation rich with history. The rooms are very "wright" and part of a conference center. A short walk takes yo to the plantation with its beautiful gardens and absolutely wonderful restaurant. ...
