oh well
The salesman was rude. If he doesn't want to work with people he should work in the back. First call l hear the phone getting lifted and then hung up. Asked for prices for 1" stainless pipe I was then corrected that it was called tube. Then given attitude like this is what we got. Asked for price on expanded stainless I was told they don't carry it. I told him on the web site they have it listed. He then let out a sigh and said he would have to go check on the price. I then asked him to do so and that's when he clicked the phone. I then called back the receptionist and told her that I would not be buying from them. She was very apologetic and nice. OH Well, I can always find someone else to take my money

Small to Large Projects OK

Needed a small plate to serve as an adapter for a car project. Walked in and the staff was totally cool with helping me pick the right type of metal and then cutting it to size. They made the cuts while I waited. Didn't expect this much attention and service for such an insignificant job. Plan to go back.

I've purchased from IMS a few times for small "hobbyist" type projects. They have a good variety of plate, bar, tube, sheet etc.. including hot rolled steel, aluminum, stainless. Prices are better than a couple other places I checked, and the staff is helpful - they are happy to serve the smaller purchasers.
