I am currently attending IAA by Heather P. at InsiderPages
Unlike what some of you have said, this school is beyond most collages. The arts program and academic stimulus is unbelievable. The staff and teachers are amazing and everyone must [and DOES] work together to make this school what it is.
For parents thinking of sending your kids to this school: I recommend it. I used to get in trouble a lot and didn't get good grades but when I decided that I wanted to attend Idyllwild Arts Academy, I turned all that around. I now keep a GPA of 3.5-4.0. I am a theatre student who didn't even have much experience but this school has shaped me into everything I have ever hoped to be.
For kids looking at this school: Don't let those other reviews fool you. Look at the website and other honest reviews of the school. Visit the amazing campus, look in the dorms, visit the [not even right to call it a] cafeteria that looks more like a beautiful restaurant. Look into everything and you will see [just as I did] that those other comments are unjustified. The dorms are really beautiful. Everything is. And you will see for yourself if you take the time.
IAA is not focused on money. A large percentage of the student body is on financial aid. What is paid is needed for such a top class education and arts training.
The teachers love it there just as much as the students. There is a lot of responsibility involved, this is not a school for troubled teens. This is a school for dreamers, but serious ones. This is a school for anyone who is willing to work hard toward their future. This is a school devoted to their student, their teachers, to everyone involved. This is a school for students like me.
