I have been buying my children and grandson's clothes for Catholic School and I never had any problems. If you want to go and have alot of time Please go no later that the first week of August as for the middle or ending it gets very busy, The staff is still very nice and help out alot but you have to be in long lines because most people leave it for the last minute shopping but it's worth it because the clothes are very good material and your children will out grow the clothes and you will be able to pass them down to others.As for prices it depends what you are going to buy. but it's worth it.

My sons school has been serviced by ideal for over 6 years and i always look forward to visiting the store. Its always kept neet and clean and i find the sales reps very friendly. I recomend Ideal to all my friends as well.

Unfortunately, my son's school has had Ideal handle their uniform orders, for the past eight years. In the past eight years I have had three issues with ideal. In which my order has been placed, my credit card charged, and Ideal has taken longer than three weeks to ship my order. I would then call their 718.252.5090 number, and Ideal will have a message providing the directions to their store and the store hours, but when I would try to leave a message it would say that their mailboxes are currently full. I will then email them at info@ideal.com to get information on the status of the order, and I would not get an email or call back. I would also send them a fax at 718.692.0492 with all the information, copy of invoice, receipt and previous emails and they would choose to ignore all means of communication. My fax transmittal sheet would clearly state that the transmittal was ok. The latest incident is the following: I visited Ideal Department Store on August 15, 2008. I purchased the gym uniform for my son, and three short sleeve embroidered golf shirts. I also needed two white s/s emroidered gold shirts, an additional blue and a burgundy in Adult Medium but they didn't have anymore in stock. I was clearly informed the following our guy just went to pick up this shipment, it will be here today, and we will be able to ship your order by Monday that would have been Monday, August 18, 2008. On September 2nd, I called Ideal four times, not allowed to leave a message. On September 3rd, I called Ideal five times, not allowed to leave a message. On September 3r

As soon as you walk into the store you are greeted by extremely helpfull associates. No matter what I asked for they had it, a huge database of schools in brooklyn , bronx, and manhattan on every counter. They have everything that has to do with schools from caps & gowns, T-Shirts, U name it they have it!. Extremely clean, and organized. Great Place overall!!

I have been going to Ideal for uniforms since I was a kid in school and that's a long time! They have any kind of uniform that you can imagine. I have gotten school uniforms for my daughter and cub scout uniforms for my son. They have a lot of sizes available. If they don't have something in stock, they will happily order it for you. We had to order a cub scout shirt for my son because they didn't have his size, and we got a call to pick it up within a week. They are very helpful and will make sure you buy all the accessories you need. They had all the cub scout patches that he needed also, as well as the scouting books. They have uniforms for almost every school. They also have some regular clothing, as well as uniforms for nurses and any other occupation that requires uniforms.
