Good place for kids to learn discipline. Everyone is extremely nice. All parents are very involved and atmosphere is positive.

if you want to be trained by the best this is the place to go. instructor jesus is very knowledgeable, patient and most importantly passionate about the art he teaches.

This martial arts academy has everything you'd expect and more. In addition to great physical exercise and practical self-defense techniques, Hwarang Do Downey Norwalk has a strong emphasis on a set traditional ethical guidelines that guide students' treatment of others and their use of their martial art. This really sets this studio apart for me!

This School is awesome. This Martial Art is one of a kind and is only taught thru the World Hwa Rang Do Association. Their are no other Martial Arts that teach these technique's. I love training here. And am learning constantly.
The Instructor's here are very dedicated. Instructor Hernandez , the main Instructor is very dedicated to teaching all his students not only Tae Soo Do and Hwa Rang Do. But for us students to also be the best people we can be. And to live up to our full potential, Inside and outside the Do Jong.
He is also very good with children. This school teaches discipline not only during class. But also at home and school. Students must keep good reports from their parents and teachers to progress and advance.
I would recommend this school to anyone wanting to improve their health and to learn a very original and effective Martial Art. Either for themselfs or their children.
I have learned more about myself and have achieved more than I ever dreamed I could since training here. I am over 50. And have become healthier and have lost over 50 lbs. At my last heart check-up. I was told I have a heart of an athlete. I know my good health is due to Tae Soo Do Training.
I can now do rolls, take downs, triple kicks, falls, control an opponent using locks and joint manipulation and with very little or no strength. I can defend myself standing or if required on the ground. I've learned how to handle weapons including a sword.
I am now a Tae Soo Do BlackBelt candidate and very excited to start training in Hwa Rang Do once I achieve my belt.
Its hasn't been easy training. But signing up for Tae Soo Do at this school has changed my life only for the better.

I stumble upon this school, called, and was told I should come over for a better explanation since they don't give info or prices over the phone. Against my will I decided to give it a try since I was in the area. The explanation didn't make too much sense at first specially when the instructor said I could control an opponent with the strenght of a finger WOW!! I could not move, very impressive, he explained the difference between Tae Soo Do and Hwa Rang Do. I have been thinking about joiningand most likely I will in a couple of weeks. Oh, I almost forgot, place not too big but enough space.
