I just love he Dr. Hurwitz. She is an exceptional doctor. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and never shoves me out the door. She has been my childrens doctor for over 4 years and I recommend her highly. I love that she always is able to see my kids when they really need to be fit in.Ask yourself when is the last time a doctor gave you their cell phone number and doesn't mind if you use it.

Dr. Hurwitz will see you same day if necessary. She will answer her phone on weekends. She is the best. The office staff is efficient also. I wish she treated adults!

I agree that she is easily accessible..and I also agree that is she is a strong advocate for children with Autism and DD. But, I do feel that she is an extremist...she once told me that my baby could have an ear infection or could have a brain tumor. I understand that medicine is really walking a fine line and u cant be too careful..but I think this was a bit extreme. I am confident that she would find an issue and send you to the right place. I do think that Ped partners has some better drs....there are actually a few good ones, if you can get in. They see so many HMOs that you have to wait months for a well check. Bottom line, the healthcare in this area is sub standard. My Dr. who is a Dr. feels that way as well. So, if you have any real issue, pack up that mini van and head on off to Sd or OC.

My kids are new patients of hers, but in the month they have been, she and her PA have given them both more attention than they have got over the past few years with their previous doctor. This past weekend my older son was sick and when I called to check the recording on which Urgent Care to go to, the PA acutually answered, she rocks just as much as Dr Hurwitz. I really am positive this was the best move for my kids. I fully reccommend Dr Hurwitz's practice to anyone in the area, and am sure if I moved within driving distance I'd still bring them to her. :)

I have to admit that when I first met Dr. Hurwitz I was a little put off. She was the Dr. on call when I gave birth to my fourth child. After a long night of trying to breastfeed and a crying baby, I had finally gotten my baby to go to sleep. It wasn't five minutes later that Dr. Hurwitz came in and said she needed to see the baby. I told her I had just put her to sleep. She said no worries I'll bring her back sleeping. I started crying thinking I was in for more hours of crying. When she brought the baby back in though she was fast asleep in her bed. Over the past year and a half she has always been quick to call or respond with any illness or concern. I have since changed all four of my children to her office. She is not only wonderful with babies but took extra time to talk with my teen about special concerns that affect her. She is quick but you never feel like she left anything out, she makes her patients feel like a part of the family. If you need a good doctor call her!!!
