I would not recommend this place. by Kim W. at InsiderPages
Last year a stray cat I had been feeding had hurt his paw. Hurstbourne Animal Hospital was the only animal hospital I could find that was open on a Sunday, so we took the stray cat there. The vet seemed nice enough, and said she would help us find a home for the cat. Of course, we had to pay a lot of money to get the cat fixed up so another person would adopt him. We paid for tests, shots, grooming, and neutering. The cost was about $300, which I did not mind paying, if a good home could be found for the cat. We agreed to bring food and litter to the hospital for this stray cat, and they would keep the cat and try to find a home for him. They agreed to contact us before the cat was adopted, and said we could even interview the people who wanted to adopt the cat. They said nothing would be done without contacting us first. When we went back one day later to visit, the cat was gone. The people at the front desk said the cat was very sick (first time I had heard about this), and they had found a home for him. The cat had FIV. They did not know the name or phone number of the person who had taken the cat. I was in tears as I left the hospital. I had called the hospital two hours before my visit, and was told that everything was fine and I could come and visit the cat at any time. They should have called me and let me know what was going on. It took 48 hours before I found out who had taken the cat. I would never trust this place with my pets. I recommend going to Sims Animal Hospital or Blue Cross Animal Hospital.
PROS: none
CONS: cannot trust them
