clean and friendly!!!!!!!
The kennel staff at the pet lodge want to know every detail to accomidate and ensure a safe, pleasant visit for your pet. Your pet is kept thoroughly clean in his/her room and should any problems arrise during your pet's stay you are notified in the blink of an eye and Dr. Kaur is just a few steps away to assist your pet. Dr kaur is very knowledgable in her feild and makes everything understandable in the treatment your pet receives. She wants to make sure both of you are on the same page with you pet's vet care. I would have to insist that if you are indeed shopping around for a new boarding facility and veterarian, Hurstbourne Animal Hospital would have to be at the top of my list of suggestions.

Not Satisfactory, but decent by Brittany L. at InsiderPages
I took my very sick puppy to Hurstbourne Animal Hospital because it was close to my house. The Vet seemed nice, I think the Vet techs are clueless. My puppy had to stay in the hospital for a week, getting IV treatments. They would always tell me they would call me in the mornings to tell me how she was doing-never once did they call. I always called or went and saw my puppy in the afternoon. There was trash all over the floor of the room where they kept her...from scrubs to dirty towles to soiled paper towels, even her thermometer. I went to visit and when we opened the door, the odor about knocked me over. My puppy's towel she was laying on was wet and soiled. The vet tech asked surprised that it stunk in that room-when did you last check on her, I wanted to scream?! Over all, the care was poor and the staff doesn't follow through. I have spent over $700 in 4 days at this vet. In speaking to friends, family, and other vets, Hurstbourne Animal Hospital is over priced. If you feel like you pet is your baby, but can't shell out any given dollar amount, this vet is NOT for you.

THEY ARE ALWAYS THERE TO HELP
When I rescued my dog 4 years ago I had no idea how sick she was. Within the first week she was vomiting severely and every clinic I called wanted me to set up an appointment at least two weeks out to even look at her or consider her for shots. Hurstbourne Animal Hospital took me the very day I called and not only did they give my dog her shots, they ran a full battery of tests and found the rot of her problems. Mt dog was very ill for another 2 years and there were so many time I just barged in without an appointment and never once has the staff turned me away. The vet is a SAINT!! and her staff is fantastic. As difficult as my dog is they always show us a smile and love when we come in.

I would not recommend this place. by Kim W. at InsiderPages
Last year a stray cat I had been feeding had hurt his paw. Hurstbourne Animal Hospital was the only animal hospital I could find that was open on a Sunday, so we took the stray cat there. The vet seemed nice enough, and said she would help us find a home for the cat. Of course, we had to pay a lot of money to get the cat fixed up so another person would adopt him. We paid for tests, shots, grooming, and neutering. The cost was about $300, which I did not mind paying, if a good home could be found for the cat. We agreed to bring food and litter to the hospital for this stray cat, and they would keep the cat and try to find a home for him. They agreed to contact us before the cat was adopted, and said we could even interview the people who wanted to adopt the cat. They said nothing would be done without contacting us first. When we went back one day later to visit, the cat was gone. The people at the front desk said the cat was very sick (first time I had heard about this), and they had found a home for him. The cat had FIV. They did not know the name or phone number of the person who had taken the cat. I was in tears as I left the hospital. I had called the hospital two hours before my visit, and was told that everything was fine and I could come and visit the cat at any time. They should have called me and let me know what was going on. It took 48 hours before I found out who had taken the cat. I would never trust this place with my pets. I recommend going to Sims Animal Hospital or Blue Cross Animal Hospital.

PROS: none
CONS: cannot trust them
