This is a GREAT dance studio! I have learned so much from this studio both as a student and a teacher. The studio is truly like one big family. The dancers have so many performing opportunities, especially those who are a part of their non-profit youth ballet company. They have a large number on staff which gives the dancers a variety of different styles and dance instructors. They put on some very fun and creative shows, and the annual Nutcracker is GREAT! It is a very organized studio, devoted to the children. This studio creates very beautiful and musical dancers. Check out one of their amazing ballerinas doing an upbeat pointe dance on you tube under numa numa en pointe. I highly recommend this studio! I would give it 10 STARS if possible!!!!

I lucked out finding Huntington Academy of Dance (HAD) 19 years ago when, as an adult, I decided to take up tap. The studio owner made me take a year of ballet first, explaining that ballet is foundational to all dance (not to mention sports like gymnastics and skating). Imagine telling an adult, We don't just want your money, we want you to get the appropriate dance training to meet your overall goals.??? Naturally, when I had children, I put them into the care of HAD and the excellent staff there. We're still dancing there and over the years I've taken ballet, tap, jazz, hula and embarked most recently on learning pointe. So whether you want to get back into dance or try dance for the first time, check out HAD. And if you have children, HAD dance is the place you'll want to put them because the studio and its staff care about the student, not just the fees or shows...albeit the shows, especially those out on by HAD partner Ballet Etudes, are first rate.

My daughter has been dancing at Huntington Academy of Dance for six years. She has received wonderful classical ballet training and is now expanding to different types of dance (tap, lyrical, musical theatre, and hip hop).

They specialize in teaching the Cecchetti form of ballet which focuses on strengthening and conditioning of the dancer. They will never advance a dancer or put a dancer on point shoes until they are completely ready.

They are competitive with the other dance studios in the area and I'm happy with what I get for the amount of tuition I pay. They do three shows a year, which includes Nutcracker, plus the final June recital. I would highly recommend sending your daughter to this studio if you want your child in dance.
