Dirty surroundings, awful food
After leaving Symphony Space one night, my girlfriend and I were starving and ended up in Hunan Balcony. I should have known, when I saw the matted green carpet held down by duct tape, to run for the hills. Unfortunately, we stayed. My girlfriend had the misfortune of ordering sushi - several pieces smelled bad, others were dried-out, none of it was fresh. I got a Chinese noodle soup that was completely bland. To top everything off, the service was poor and our waiter was unitelligible. Don't ever eat at Hunan Balcony.
