A group us are members of running and biking groups. We often park before meeting up for dinner and drinks afterwards. We were recently booted and or towed while performing a run first. The owner had little regard for our past and pending patronage and his merciless actions speaks volumes about his organizations regard for others. Not high on my customer service meter, steer clear....

We went to HG to watch football this past weekend -- SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! We were a large party (eventually a group of 9) up in the bar area, intending to sit for a while (3+ hours for a game) and spend plenty of money on beers and food. Once we were seated, our server rushed right over to check our IDs for our pitcher of beer and then disappeared for 20 minutes.

The server was only attentive when a new member of our group sat down -- he sprinted over to check IDs and then would disappear again for 15-20 minutes, all the time when we were trying to order food and more beer. (It looked like he was training another server who was less than enthusiastic to be paired with him.)

With one quarter left in the game, we decided to order one last pitcher for our table. The server took the order and then the next time we saw him, he was chatting with other waitstaff near the kitchen. We flagged down the manager to say something, he immediately rushed over to perform "damage control." (We did get a free pitcher, but by that time, it didn't really help.)

On top of that, we broke down the bill very plainly for him - writing down the amounts for each card on the bill, AND we explained it to him. Did he get it right? Most certaintly not. The afternoon became spending more time trying to get our server's attention than being able to watch the football game. In fact, the only time the server was "right on top of things" was when he was clearing our table and wanted to collect the signed receipts to see how much in tips he got. RUDE!

We're not stingy people; had the bar been extremely busy, and he was busting his back to make sure all of his tables were covered, we would've been understanding. However, when you see other tables around you w/ the same server get up and leave because they can't get any service, that is a clear sign that something is wrong.

Despite how convenient it is for football watching, we'll find another place to bring our business.

Hudson Grille has taken over the old Jock's and Jill location in Brookhaven. That's all we can really say about this place. Like the previous reviewer said, beer is beer. Yes and good beer selection, and a decent patio. The food is just plain terrible. Bring back the Chicken Wings! Service needs help also. This is not really a good makeover for Brookhaven. How about a Marlowe's Tavern!

Went a couple times, first time around their opening- GREAT. There's a surprising selection of beers on tap (high gravity beers... yay!) and the veggie burger was excellent. Sat outside and the bartender was friendly and entertaining. Second time around, not so great... food or service wise- granted, new service staff still needs work. Beer is beer (good, though, if you order Rogue Dead Guy Ale on tap, let it sit for a while since it's too chill out of the tap to enjoy).

No this is not Einstein's, Joe's On Juniper, or any of those other Midtown clones, but it is close. The revamp of this part of Brookhaven, is a very good welcome. Hudson Grill has a nice patio, decent drinks, and a good place in the sun. But the offerings are just the same boring bruch items' served at their sister locations. Service is stiff, and the waits on the food are legendary. If you are in Brookhaven, it's a good place for a Bloody!
