The House of Fine Chocolates is much more than the name indicates...
I have ordered birthday cakes, cupcakes, pies, coffee cakes, chocolates,
and even a friend's wedding cake from the gregarious and helpful staff
of HOFC. When I lived in San Francisco for five (5) years, I hand carried
cakes back to the West Coast - that's how much I missed Chicago's BEST
bakery! If you want to see them in action, visit them at 3109 North Broadway.

store! It came in handy when I needed to send my parents a treat - sent to
them in Florida... HOFC treats can be ordered from Peapod as well!

They have the most creative desserts and cakes. My wife and I were window shopping and came across this place. They can create fun cakes for all occasions (weddings, birthdays, etc). Plus they have fun treats to eat right away.

If you are a chocoholic or just have a sweet tooth for baked goods this is the place for you. They have everything from individual handmade chocolates, to cookies and cakes. I especially love their creative cakes for special occasions. They are a more sophisticated option for birthdays. I've never tasted anything I didn't like here.

PROS: great chocolate
CONS: parking is a little tough in this busy neighborhood
