one of the cleanest hotels ive ever been to.. i even did a black light test on it and it was spotless!

The hotel is beautiful with bright colors and a very friendly staff. I stayed here for a week and it is close to many things to do but away from the congestion of the busy parts of Santa Monica. The food at the hotel is delicious and so is the morning coffee. The rooms are very comfortable with lots of high tech touches. I highly recommend the Oceana.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm only going to comment on the restaurant at the Oceana (although the hotel itself is remarkable). You need to be a VIP, famous or super-rich just to dine there. At entrance, you feel like your just walking into a lounge by the pool, greeted by super-friendly staff. I have been up and down Ventura blvd. with 5 star recommendations for restaurants, and I've had abysmal experiences from them. This place is the real deal. Especially and SURPRISINGLY run by a very young staff including the executive chef, Jeff, who prepared a meal for us that rivals any top LA restaurant. Drinks...including SIGNATURE drinks.... My advise. Book a room for the ambiance. Stay for the restaurant.
