I have tried to order breakfast there many times, but they just don’t know how to cook it. The hash browns are awful, usually sitting on the back of the burner until they are not edible. They also don’t know how to cook bacon. The manager is not the least bit interested if your food is cooked correctly or not. Additionally, their prices are very high.

If you want a good breakfast, go across the street to IHOP. You'll get much better food for several dollars less.

This is a great diner! Its family owned and operated, and they will recognize you and greet you warmly after just a couple of visits. The food is also great and you get a lot of it for the money!

Everything is nice about this place. The staff are great! I've never had anything but awesome service there. They are always smiling and friendly at the door/register and the servers all have a positive vibe. The menu has great options for each meal. It's diner food, so if you want the best gourmet meal ever, this isn't the place. If you want good, filling, comfort food then this is it. I used to live in New York and would do the diner thing all the time - this place is better. You will never see the bottom of your coffee cup or glass without someone offering you more (I'm all about the drink refills). The portions are big so you'll leave either satisfied or stuffed. It's a small space but not cramped. The facilities are clean. Every time I go there I'm happy, never disappointed, and always wanting to go back.
Also of note, one time we wen there a rather intoxicated/psychotic/both person started banging on the window and once he got my attention proceeded to start doing all sorts of gross things (I won't elaborate). When I ignored him, he kept banging on the window. The staff IMMEDIATELY came over and put down the blinds. The person attempted to enter the cafe and they stopped him at the door and would not let him enter. It wasn't a big scene, they weren't rude to him, but they handled it. My fiance and I felt much better. I thought they handled it very well. "Off" people are everywhere and no one can prevent stuff like that, but they stopped it from becoming a really uncomfortable experience and I think it deserves kudos.

Horizon Cafe is a great place for a good meal without all the frills. It's a fun, casual place to take friends and sit and chat for hours in one of it's big booths. It's chicken and orzo soup may not sound like much, but it is both delicious and award winning! The price is right too. You won't be disappointed.
