Honey Bear is a great Infant, Toddler and preschool program which has been in the Point Loma area for 43 years. We are a full-service childcare center dedicated to helping children learn, grow, explore and play in a safe, nurturing, and creative environment. We offer services for children from birth through age 5 for both full and part-time schedules. We have great, child-centered teachers who love to engage with children, help them learn and revel in their play. We have yoga classes, swim lessons, music and movement as well as Spanish and sign language. Our graduates go on to excel in Kindergarten with excellent reading, math and classroom skills and love coming to school. Each of our classrooms has their own outside play area and they spend up to two hours outside each day.

I attended Honey Bear preschool 35 years ago and both my niece and nephew have attended the school. It is a great place for children to learn and grow.

We can't say enough good things about Honey Bear! The staff is wonderful and the curriculum is fantastic. The kids are always having lots of fun and we are very impressed with how much they learn. Sign language and Spanish are introduced in the infant classes, which is really cool. They have fun activities and get the parents involved. The music and exercises classes are also included and lots of fun for the kids.

We could not have picked a better preschool for our child. Our son attended since he was 3 months old until he reached 4 years. He still remembers all the teachers and speaks of them fondly. The quality of food was good and kids were happy. The structure, discipline and free play were wonderful for our son. He was a happy child. He even came home one day with a yoga pose doing a downward facing dawg! Diane and her staff had a well oiled machine. I would recommend this school to anyone. In fact, this school was recommended to me by a mother of three happy children.

Our family has loved the Honey Bear Preschool. We appreciate the teachers and all of their hard work as they provide enriching activities for the children each and every day!
