Pretty standard fare except for the beef - that was awful. Don't think I've ever spit beef in to my napkin before but I did tonight: tough, flavorless, gristly, just inedible. And the meager beef ribs were more fat than meat. I left full, just beefless.‎

We eat here frequently because it's my Mom's favorite place. She likes traditional American food and that's about it. If you are going to rate a buffet, you have to compare it other similarly priced buffets that serve the same sort of food. On that basis, Home Town Buffet rates five stars. It's not the Bellagio in Las Vegas, it's not exotic, but it's probably better than your local Indian casino, and less expensive. This is not fine dining. It's an inexpensive, well-managed restaurant with good food. It's clean and friendly. The food is attractively arranged. They don't seem to ever run out of anything, and the service is good. I was once a restaurant inspector. Based on what I've seen here I'd say the chance of getting sick at your neighborhood ethnic restaurant are about 100 times greater than at Home Town Buffet.‎

Several years ago hometown buffet had great food. That has changed drastically. I wish I could give this review zero stars. A year ago I went here the food was stale just nasty. Yesterday I went again, I felt very ill before leaving and NO I DID NOT STUFF MYSELF. This morning I still felt sick, I vomited many times, and I still feel sick with very bad diarrhea. Every thing was horrible exept for the buns. EVERY THING. Food was burnt, over cooked, horrible horrible taste, cold. It was a nightmaire. Thats just sad you feel nasua before leaving and your not stuffed. My wife was also sick and we had ate differnt stuff. The place was dirty, just horrible. The meet not only tasted nasty it was undercooked. Some of the chicken where way over cooked. The fruit was warm like it had been left out untouched in the open for hours.‎

OK so normally I would hate a place like this, but I was surprised. The food was actually good. We went with coupon and for 2 adult / 1 child 6yr was $24. Went on a Friday night and had steak, BBQ ribs, and butterfly shrimp. ...

Good food, good choice, clean and inexpensive. If you don't like Chinese food, but like advantages of a buffet, this place is for you.‎
