Good food. Low prices.
We eat here frequently because it's my Mom's favorite place. She likes traditional American food and that's about it. If you are going to rate a buffet, you have to compare it other similarly priced buffets that serve the same sort of food. On that basis, Home Town Buffet rates five stars. It's not the Bellagio in Las Vegas, it's not exotic, but it's probably better than your local Indian casino, and less expensive. This is not fine dining. It's an inexpensive, well-managed restaurant with good food. It's clean and friendly. The food is attractively arranged. They don't seem to ever run out of anything, and the service is good. I was once a restaurant inspector. Based on what I've seen here I'd say the chance of getting sick at your neighborhood ethnic restaurant are about 100 times greater than at Home Town Buffet.
