Careful with your returns

After finishing a large project I had a handful of items to return, totaling $179.00. After the cashier rang up the return I realized I was missing a receipt for one of the items. The cashier told me under the circumstances and because of the amount they'd have to issue me a company check which I'd receive in a few weeks. After a few weeks passed without receiving the check I went back to the store to inquire about it, the asst. manager told me they had forgotten to forward it to corporate, she apologized and said I would be getting it ASAP. After another month and no check I returned to ask again and the same asst. called corporate and they told her they had no record of the return, nor could she find any paperwork about it there. She said she would find it for me. Long story short, despite my many times questioning the store, calling the manager and emailing the corporate offices I never received the check, nor did they ever make any effort to rectify the situation. Dave Rogers in plumbing was the greatest help we have ever had at any of these types of stores. It was such a gift us to work with him. All the employees were friendly and we had a wonderful shopping experience. I think it starts at the top with the store manager. We know of no one personally outside our shopping experience there. I personally have never written a review before. Just felt like I should this time.

You name it, they have it. We have rented scaffolding from this location in 3 different configurations. Floor strippers when we redid our hardwood floors. And nail guns when we built a garage. We know we can always count on Home Depot for ALL of our needs.
